milk chocolate marshmallow fudge

Ingredients
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into bits
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 pound bar HERSHEY'S milk chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups marshmallow cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • garnish lightly toasted walnut, optional

Steps
  1. 1. In heavy kettle combine sugar, butter, milk and cook over moderate heat, stirring until it comes to a full boil.Boil, stirring constantlynad making sure it doesn't scorch, for 5 minutes exactly.
  2. 2. REmove from heat, stir in quickly the milk chocolate, chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, vanilla and salt, stir until combined thoroughly.
  3. 3. Pour into greasedjelly roll pan, 15 1/2 by 10 1/2 by 1 inch, score top into squares. Garnish each quare with walnut half. Chill for 3 hours, or until firm, cut into squares. Store in airtight container lined with waxed paper, separateing layers with waxed paper. store in a cool place.
